On Making a Cat Laugh

Doug Wilson: The president caused a stir the other way when he told Bill O’Reilly that there are lots of killers out there, and that America is “not so innocent” … But the offense that was taken to Trump’s remark had a curious religiously indignant feel to it, as though the president had just heaved a dead polecat at the high altar. How dare he compare us in any way to the lousy Russians?

NewMoral equivalence

Thu, 02/09/17

Moral equivalence babble is supposed to sound sophisticated. A bit of research into what has gone on and continues to go on in Russia shows that there are few similarities when it comes to state sanctioned and state conducted (but not sanctioned) killing.

… but that’s in the past. We may well be headed down a path of greater equivalence. More than anything else, Trump may have revealed his own lack of moral reasoning.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
