Book Review: "Love Thy Body: Answering Hard Questions about Life and Sexuality" (Nancy Pearcey)

What’s interesting to me is that progressive “Christians” such as Brian McLaren, Tony Jones, and Doug Pagitt have often attacked conservative Christians for letting pagan dualistic/gnosticism influence their Christianity. Yet ironically all three of them affirm gay marriage/transgenderism and downplay a pro-life position-which shows that they are the ones who have rejected a Biblical worldview for the culture’s pagan dualistic/gnostic worldview when it comes to the body. I Can’t wait to get this book.

Joel, I haven’t yet read anything by Pearcey, but I’ve always heard great stuff about her. This is the book of hers I’ll read this year, I’ve decided!

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.

I ordered this book yesterday, and am looking forward to reading it. My church has quite an extensive “book nook” in the building’s foyer. By God’s grace, we are able to offer many great books for free to our congregation (and visitors). My hope is that upon reading this book, I will be able to recommend it for inclusion. We, as in all of Christendom, need good resources that faithfully deal with the topics of sexuality, gender, and abortion.
