President Russell M. Nelson was introduced as the 17th president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tuesday, Jan. 16. President Dallin H. Oaks and President Henry B. Eyring were called to serve as first and second counselors, respectively, in the First Presidency. President M. Russell Ballard is the acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve.
