“This issue of FrontLine will try to help you think through some of the questions. David de Bruyn (who is a South African pastor) opens by addressing the question of whether pastors should address political issues. Michael Riley asks whether it is ever permissible to opt for the lesser of two evils when making political choices. These articles are meant to address the larger question of how Christians should participate in the political order.” - P&D

Don't have access to the articles. I would hope they are balanced, but before the previous election many engagements that I had with evangelical pastors was around these topics and using these to justify voting for Trump. I can't say that this is the approach these authors took, but the topic are eerily similar. I would like to see, but can't seem to find much, of evangelical authors tackling the more challenging issues. Such as the impact of the moral fabric of society when the leader lies pretty much about everything. No one seems to want to touch those subjects too much, and tends to sweep those under "the lesser of two evils" and than highlight abortion, immigration.... as key reasons to vote Republican.
