Religious Liberals sat Out of Politics for 40 Years. Now They Want in the Game.

“Faith leaders whose politics falls to the left of center are getting more involved in politics to fight against President Trump’s policies.” NYTimes

Help me out here…..did I just hallucinate growing up when it was clear my childhood Methodist church was supporting legal abortion and the like? One would figure that the Times would be a little more aware of what her own readers have been doing for decades!

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.

Going back decades, I can’t recall not seeing “the Reverend Jesse Jackson” and/or “the Reverend Al Sharpton” conjoined in the news with the Democratic Party……….

While I appreciate the fact that the NYT has found it fit to run a story on religion, it would be appreciated if they would stop using religious ‘news’ as a springboard to push the political angle of ‘President Trump is a menace to the entire known universe and probably beyond that as well.’

But this is the Times that we are talking about, so that’s not likely to happen. Just ignore them.
