Makes the point that we’re getting a lot of blacks (poor and minorities in general) getting arrested for some pretty benign stuff. My favorite is that many states require hair braiders—think the cornrows you’ll see on many black women—to get hundreds or thousands of hours of practice cutting and shampooing caucasian hair before they’re allowed to legally braid black hair for pay. It just boggles the mind at times.
