Cultural touchstones are opportunities to teach. Examples:

  • Mother’s day / Father’s day on the family
  • Christmas (the Dec 25th event) on the incarnation
  • Memorial day on sacrifice
  • 4th of July on the Christian & government
  • Valentines day on real love
  • Et cetera
