Bob Gray Sr. answers Jeff Amsbaugh

The Jeff Amsbaugh article was a filing last month here
Prototypical IFB juxtaposition.
Bob Gray wrote: Yet, you let a pastor or church members get excited and passionately begin to dress conservatively, set standards for their leaders, and they will be called “fanatics”. Even to the point of being called a “fanatical fringe” because they are pulling the movement away from the critics(sic) desired direction.I have to ask the question to one and all, “Is there a Hell?” Do people who die without Christ spend an eternity in Hell? Is Hell a bottomless pit? Do people who go to Hell stay there forever?
When will we stop majoring on the minors (or the non-existents)? How do you know their on fire for God? They have dress standards praise Gawd!
Why is it that my voice always seems to be loudest when I am saying the dumbest things?

Matthew 23:27-28
English Standard Version (ESV)
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”
Jack Frasure Hyles was not a fanatic
We are not one big “body” of “one invisible church.” That my friend is Catholicism. We are local independent Baptist churches. We were never Protestants! -Bob Gray
So I guess that whole concept of a universal “church” in Ephesians 2 and 4 - and the prayers of Jesus in John 17 - are all wrong?

"Our task today is to tell people — who no longer know what sin is...no longer see themselves as sinners, and no longer have room for these categories — that Christ died for sins of which they do not think they’re guilty." - David Wells
Worth knowing about and reading

– Comment … before I caught my mistake I misattributed to the Sword of the Lord – now corrected
And after reading this response, we now truly know why the young people are leaving the fringe in droves.
Posting is relevant because Jeff Amsbaugh is a hyper-Fundamentalist (in my view) (his anti-Calvinism remark). Also “elevation of extraneous issues – e.g. Bible versions” (Hyper-Fundy column) … see doctrinal statement here: “The King James Version of the Bible is a faithful, literal, and accurate translation of the Hebrew Masoretic manuscripts and the Greek Received Text, and is thus the superior version for the English language. Modern versions such as the NIV, NASV, and ESV, derived from corrupt manuscripts, are inferior.”
So … Amsbaugh being a hype-Fundamentalist … is there even a fundamentalist category for Bob Gray Sr.? (Cultic-Fundamentalist?)
[My position: Evangelical right … but strongly Cessationist]
and I never will be again. Praise God, being a fundamentalist has nothing to do with being a Christian.
Thanks for the PDF Jim that was good.
I wish that the fundamentalists who publicly criticize John MacArthur, Al Mohler, etc. would do likewise with Bob Gray and his kind.

Amsbaugh blows by the biggest issue for most ex-young-fundamentalists which is Calvinism. Would he maintain fellowship with a young fundamentalist Calvinist fellow pastor? If not, then no wonder they leave. Yet, he and many others like him love Spurgeon, I’ll never get that.

Because he like me read the SOTL, Calvinism-sanitized, “1984”, heavily-redacted Spurgeon.
