How Can You Trust Christianity Is True if You Haven't Examined All the Alternatives?

Christian Science like “Grape Nuts”. Not Christian … Not Science just like “Grape Nuts” are not “nut of the grape”

Image of Grape seeds below … the real “Grape Nuts”

  • I John 4:19, “We love Him because He first [πρῶτος] loved us.” God initiated the relationship
  • John 12:38 citing Isaiah, “… to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
  • John 6:44, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him”
  • John 17:9, “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.”

While I know that logic and reason are insufficient to convert someone, I do encourage thinking people to consider the alternatives. But the giant search through thousands of claims isn’t really necessary. The big questions can really be boiled down to only a few real alternatives.

There are three questions to answer: Is there a God? if so, has He spoken? If so, where has He spoken?

Four possible major worldviews:

1. Materialism

2. Theism

3. Pan-theism

4. Paganism (animism, or many small gods)

Which worldview best explains the world you live in? You can make a compelling case that Theism is the best explanation, and that leaves four choices:

1. Ethical monotheism

2. Judaism

3. Christianity

4. Islam

Jesus wins by comparison.

I know – simplistic. But I’ve never really had anyone offer other claimants. Can you think of any?
