For those somehow surprised where Scott A is ministering, I do not know him but had you done your due diligence and thoroughly familiarized yourself with RAM’s work it would not appear with puzzlement in the least.
Alex, I’m not sure why it shouldn’t at least raise an eyebrow. I understand the appeal of the way the services are structured. I get that appeal. I don’t so much on things like much less specific eschatology as far as doctrine (especially for someone who in the past seemed to me pretty outspoken about his dispensationalism and McCune-ian grid), or support of the cooperative program as far as matters of fellowship and practice. Yes, you have a tight bond on liturgical grounds as far as local church fellowship goes. But the spectrum in the SBC is far wider than anything in the circles from which he has sprung- yes, you have the Albert Mohlers and Mark Devers and Founders, but you also have Ed Youngs, Rick Warrens, and lifechurch.tv kind of people.
The music/culture issue is obviously important to him, but to this point I wasn’t convinced that some of the other things were as negotiable as they now appear to be.

I was referring to BHayton’s quote regarding the “about us” section which says the church uses many forms. RAM does not forward one exclusive form, rather inclusive of others ( but not any or all) which abide by various principles at various levels and in various contexts while still elevating certain forms as superior, all others are not viewed impermissible, rather evaluated by principles. Thus I believe this kind of ministerial/ecclesiastical movement is consistent with RAM’s views.
