Sex and the Single Olympian: Lolo Jones Talks about Her Virginity
“I’m a virgin” … “no I’m not”
I’m not a prude but I don’t remember people talking about this when I was in my early 20’s (40 yrs ago)
I commented briefly when Anderson Cooper came out:
The fact is, I’m heterosexual, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud. I have always been very open and honest about this part of my life with my friends, my family, and my colleagues. In a perfect world, I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business, but I do think there is value in standing up and being counted.

I hear more about this on the *local evening news* than I heard in regular conversation 30-40 years ago.
It’s hard to watch anything but the Cartoon Network with my kids. On any network, even during “the family hour”, the actual programming may come close to being acceptable, but the commercials (for the most part) are for adult viewing only.
given her status as a sex-symbol. Don’t google it, but like some of the commentors stated, this is the same woman who posed nude for ESPN. Somehow talking about your viginity at the same time that you’re doing that makes it seem like a publicity stunt. Not trying to judge her—I just can’t fit all the pieces together. Saying “look but don’t touch” is not a Christian understanding of purity.
The 2009 ESPN Body issue
Yeah to pose naked (some would say “tastefully naked” …. but it’s still naked) … and then herald “I’m a Christian and a virgin” is a giant disconnect!
Glad she came in 4th!
Like: …. Look but don’t eat
