Students hold 'Slutty Wednesday' to protest school’s strict dress code policy
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. ~ Eph. 5:15-17
[Robb C] It comes down to kids not being taught that it is right and good to follow rules given by people who have authority over them, even rules we do not like but don’t go against our conscience. They need to be taught there are better ways and God honoring ways to change school policy.
Somehow I’m not thinking that “God-honoring ways to change school policy” is high on these students priority list. Something about the Slutty Wednesday designation might have cued me in on that. Just sayin’……………

Or the fact that this is a public high school and not Local Christian High?
"Our task today is to tell people — who no longer know what sin is...no longer see themselves as sinners, and no longer have room for these categories — that Christ died for sins of which they do not think they’re guilty." - David Wells
[Sean Fericks] Parents?
Oh, you must not have gotten the latest pop culture memo- the role of parents is to affirm the individuality self esteem of their spawn, and to pay the bills. :/

Why the sarcasm?
The fact is if these kids were saved they woud not do this.

Any institution should have the right to determine codes of behavior. When a student chooses to attend that privileged school, they are also accepting responsibility to live under that institution’s guidelines. If they do not like those guidelines, they can easily vacate their position and go to a regular public high school. I am sure there are plenty of parents who would be delighted to send their children to the high performing school.
Those of us who have attended Bible colleges and seminaries chose to live underneatth the institutional standards of those schools, whether or not they are standards we would now choose to place in our personal lives. There is a great value to learning the discipline and submission to authority that goes with that kind of education.
A right is something inherently given to me simply by virtue of my existence or position. A privilege may be either given or earned, but it can also be forfeited.
Let these spoiled children learn some real life lessons. I would be delighted if the principal could suspend them for a number of days, and let them forfeit some grade point. When they get in the work world, they will quickly learn that the universe does not revolve around them, and, in fact, the universe will be relatively unaffected when they are no longer part of it.
