Matthew 28:19, "Cleanse them by water in the name of Allah, his Messiah and his Holy Spirit"
And the new translation also reads baptismal regeneration into the new translation. Getting “cleanse them by water” out of “baptizo” is a remarkable feat.
Doc,
What have we come to within the bounds of Christendom? Where are you living/serving now?

Surely no one has a problem with contextualization? ;)
I like your response. I have felt like a “lone wolf” saying for years that the very term was birthed by WCC leaders for purposes of advancing a theology that begins with the human situation rather than divine revelation. Numbers of evangelicals have adopted it, giving it their own definitions and usages. It has become a “rubber word” and one has to understand how each user is defining it. I still think it is best not used.
