Did UNICEF set up 'Idaho 10'?

While I am sure that the U.S. church people involved could have done things better, it is interesting to now hear how this happened. UNICEF and Save the Children have made themselves the children’s experts for the world, and probably jumped for joy when they got these “Christians” arrested. They believe that it is better to raise a child in his own country under any conditions then to have the child adopted internationally. This has prompted a Harvard professor Elizabeth Bartolet to write a very well researched paper called “ Save the Children from Save the Children “

Working in third-world countries in the midst of, and in the aftermath of civil wars have helped us to see that most international relief and development agencies have more important agenda than just helping people. They are there to promote their philosophies and justify their existence. In one case we are aware of in Liberia UNICEF literally chased a woman from refugee camp to refugee camp trying to force her to take a number of children related to her, when she couldn’t even care for her own children.

Many people - even on SI - jumped to conclusions about this case. It is always best to get all the facts before pronouncing judgment on someone’s behavior (Prov. 18:13).
