Who was the human author of your very favorite psalm?

My favorite psalm is written by David, Psalm 86, personally. I read this very often when I visit folks, along with 27 and 63.

I’ve been preaching through the psalms since the fall of 2015 and just finished Psalm 86 last Sunday. What a powerful prayer for revival! That means I’ve still got 64 psalms left to study, so my favorite may still change, but I love Psalm 16, especially David’s confession that Yahweh is his inheritance. Meditating on this psalm has taught me much about contentment.
Always loved Asaph’s literary style. He (and/or his friends), are a lot more verbally expressive than David, which suits my poetic tastes well.

We have (at least for now) the same favorite Psalm. I read this frequently, and it seems most believers are unfamiliar with it. The real crescendo, I think, is a simple thought: “You alone are God!”

I had a hard time checking the “David” box because the Psalms of the sons of Korah are my favorite group. But my very favorite few psalms were written by David. I did a series on the Psalms of the Asaph group and the Psalms of Korah group, and have preached individual Psalms of David; they are all so good, but Korah’s is my favorite group.
