This seems like one of those things that works well in one setting but doesn't translate into other environments. While the author planted a church in an urban neighborhood, what kind of proximity could one expect in a suburban or even rural setting? In principle, it might be a good idea, but I can't see how it would work for a pastor coming to an established congregation.
