Faith Expands Educational Offerings

Forum category

In the halftime show at the Faith Christmas Classic basketball tournament on December 11, the FBBC announcer interviewed Mr. Mark Davis, Vice-President of Enrollment and Student Life at Faith Baptist Bible College. The announcer asked Mr. Davis to tell the audience about the remarkable growth Faith has experienced recently, and to talk about the institution’s future, should he desire.

Davis talked for several minutes about the strong growth that the Organizational Leadership program has brought to the enrollment, as well as the success that the “we-pay-your-way” campus visit program has seen. Then Davis shared some newsworthy details. Faith is currently working on an Early Childhood Education program that is set to launch in the “near future,” according to the conversation. Adding this degree would necessitate the construction of a specialized education building on the Ankeny campus, he said, and plans for that building are already underway. Faith’s existing teacher education programs and the new Early Childhood program will all operate from within the new facility.

Faith is thriving in an age when Fundamentalist higher education is stagnant and, in many cases, dying. The administration at FBBC under Jim Tillotson’s leadership is to be commended for their success.
