I was thinking something a bit similar… if small groups are so vital, why not be a smaller church to begin with? It would make the small groups more organic and natural.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.

These articles are usually written from the perspective of the huge church. This is so sad, because that isn’t the experience of the majority of American Christians! Our whole church is a small group, too.

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.
