Humanists seek ban on evangelical gift boxes in schools

Denver: “The hearing on Wednesday (Nov. 16) was the result of a suit filed by the American Humanist Association, a national organization of humanists, atheists and freethinkers.” RNS

….if the humanists won, really. Why should the schools get credit for what Christians do on behalf of the poor? Let’s make it ever more clear that it is Christians (and to an extent, Jews and other religious groups) who found hospitals, bring Christmas gifts to the poor and children of the incarcerated, and the like. Let’s make it clear that the irreligious do not care for their brother, by and large.

The only thing the secularists ought to change after winning this is, given the moral humiliation they stand to receive, is to stop calling themselves “brights”, as obviously they’ve not been “freethinking” enough to figure out the implications here.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
