In one week, Secretary of State John Kerry will have to tell Congress whether the United States will officially label ISIS’ actions a “genocide.”

I hope I’m not being too naive, but (to quote the esteemed Secretary Clinton), “what difference does it make” whether something is labeled genocide or not? Hasn’t ISIS also persecuted fellow Muslims? Should that, too, be labeled a genocide? Why hasn’t that discussion come up?

Tyler, it is my understanding that ISIS desires to subjugate all who do not bow to their brand of Islam, including Muslims from rival groups, and if they cannot subjugate, to eliminate. So yes, this is genocide regardlessof whether Christians or other Muslims.
