Using the allegorical method of interpretation, perhaps the low-flying plane represents the Holy Spirit, Who is every-present and watching us when we least expect it (represented by the flight occurring at nighttime). Thus, elders should remember to consult the Spirit before making decisions on church discipline …

…..is how you inculcate a culture that avoids groupthink? Maybe if no one ever takes you to task for something you say, maybe you’ve got a problem?
