Soldiers attending a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood say they were told that evangelical Christians and members of the Tea Party were a threat to the nation and that any soldier donating to those groups would be subjected to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

The military has been a diversity and multi-cultural proving ground for various groups and has been so for decades. I well recall a first sergeant who told a group of us that when women were fully integrated into the ranks versus the former Women’s Army Corps (WACS) that there was going to be a lot of trouble and of course he was correct. Now you have the integration of homosexuals into the ranks where they can serve openly and no doubt be given special consideration when promotions are handed out etc. With the chaplains, the Army has not only the big 3 represented: Jew, Protestant and Roman Catholic, but also Wiccan, Eastern Religions and others that I might be aware of. If indeed the stories are true in the article posted, it should come as no surprise. The good news is that this sort of thing will separate the sheep from the goats in the faith. It will awakened some to the coming persecutions which will only increase. Hopefully, it will help church planting near military bases where the gospel truth can be preached and young military people can have an opportunity to hear the truth. The military has been elevated to a position of trust and admiration that in some instances is warranted but it there ought to be a level of skepticism concerning the military leadership at the highest ranks.
Army orders stand-down on anti-Christian briefings
October 28, 2013
The Pentagon has announced it’s putting a halt to U.S. Army briefings that label evangelicals and pro-family organizations, including the American Family Association, as domestic hate groups.
Read the Army’s directive here.
Last week, the AFA Action Alert challenged the Army’s anti-Christian training at Fort Hood, just as it did two weeks ago when a similar training session at Camp Shelby listed AFA as a “domestic hate group.”
During a pre-deployment briefing last week at Fort Hood, soldiers were told that evangelical Christians and tea party members are a threat to the nation. Soldiers were also warned that donating to those groups could subject them to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
The Army’s directive responds directly to AFA’s urging that the military stop using bogus and misleading material supplied by the staunchly anti-Christian Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).
As part of the directive, the Pentagon reminds base commanders that it is their personal responsibility to see that all “trainers” take a “refresher course” to insure they abide by a strict code and use only pre-approved resources in their training sessions.
This means that renegade “trainers” are strictly prohibited from using the erroneous fabrications from the SPLC website.
I want to thank you for getting personally involved to help right this wrong. With your action, and with God’s help, we are making a difference!
I deeply appreciate your prayers and support. I assure you, your AFA will continue to vigilantly defend religious freedom for those who serve in the military.
As a non-profit ministry, we depend on the financial support of friends like you to keep the mission of AFA strong. With your donation of just $25, I want to send you 30 of our beautiful new Christmas buttons to wear and share with others.
I saw that and figured I should share it.
