In one week, FCC gets 56,000 comments against easing "standards of decency"
Morality in Media: “Given that the FCC has for years totally ignored the American public, as well as the will of Congress, on TV indecency, I am not optimistic”

“Morality in media” is oxymoronic (not a word, but it should be).
The bottom line is, parents cannot turn on a tv and walk out of the room. If the shows aren’t awful, then the commercials are.
I don’t know why we think that an industry built on objectification and sexual immorality, and that is tolerant and even supportive of child sexual predators (think Roman Polanski, and the two Coreys), would somehow be able to produce moral content. That’s like asking a pig to sew a designer wedding dress. Ain’t gonna’ happen.
