The Jefferson Lies

I devoured this book only a few days after it came out in print. David Barton does a most-excellent job establishing that Jefferson had a STRONG Biblical foundation thus destroying ALL arguments to the contrary.

Discussion

From what I’ve read of Jefferson directly, it was pretty clear that though he believed in God and providence and had a strong appreciation for the moral influence of religion—and Christianity in particular—that’s about as far as it went.

But I’m not a fan of Jefferson anyway. Drank too deeply from the wells of the French radicals. Pretty much a populist liberal.
