Steve Jobs: "Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow." - the quote of the year?
Quite a tale. Not saying it isn’t true but… it’s pretty rare nowadays for someone to die of chronic disease while conscious. That is, usually, when death approaches slowly, we administer increasing amounts of morphine or similar palliatives and the dying are long, and deeply, unconscious when they actually die.
Beyond, that… a whole lot of really wishful thinking in the piece. The beatific vision is not available to everyone, not even everyone who is what we call “a good person.” We only get to “see Him as He is” when we are “like Him,” which is only when He has made us like Him through the merits of the cross, merits we’ve entered into only by faith.
The only question, then, is whether Steve Jobs had that kind of faith. It doesn’t much matter what he saw as he was losing his hold on life.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
The “Oh Wow” was Jobs’ reaction to the developer’s edition of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_8] Windows 8 :)
….ick.
I don’t want to turn my PC into a phone!
