"The poison of religious pragmatism is now an enormous global problem."

i guess i agree with the general premise, but this was very vague as to the actual pragmatism. What are the specific gimmicks? What the specific tools the worldly evangelicals are now using? What were the marketing business savvy folk specifically recommending?

The problem with the question above is not the question per se but that in answering it, it can easily be imagined that once a gimmick list is produced anything not on the list will get the, “but it’s not on the list” treatment. What is provided are principles, much like in geometry. For example, in geometry a triangle is not identified by is appearance but its measure, meaning if we identify 10 types off triangles in order to define a triangle we leave of a million other possibilities. But if we preserve the ruling theorems or postulates as we do in geometry we can always identify a triangle or any other geometric form no matter its shape. I agree a few examples might be helpful but I suspect the audiences is not so elementary that at this point the obvious need be pointed out.
