Does Gabriel have wings?

I have long taught that angels appear to humans usually as men (except for visions of Cherubmim and Seraphim), and that they do not have wings.

The NIV of Daniel 9:21 (with which the ESV agrees) reads:
while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.
On the other hand, the NASB reads:
while I was still speaking in prayer, then the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision previously, came to me in my extreme weariness about the time of the evening offering.
If we retain the translation, “swift flight,” then perhaps the implication is that these angels did appear with wings.

I am of the persuasion that the cherubim/seaphim form is probably their normal modus operandi, but that when they appear to men, they take on the appearance of a man.

If the NIV/ESV is right, then perhaps drawings of winged angels are not all wet?
