Scriptural Methodology

There would be no need to discuss various sectarian methodologies if all true Christians followed the Word of God, would there? All the rationales, innovations, and preferences lead the saints further into confusion. Some like a High Church with much ritual, ceremonies, and rules, and others like freedom to do whatever appeals to the flesh; but God has given us His pattern (Heb. 8:5) -even for the church.
Faithful saints may be ignorant of Scripture, but they are responsible to seek God’s way (not by some personal revelation) and keep His Word. One can see more about the intent of God for the Church in a discussion of that recovery of church truth and revival of the early 1800’s (see the site: www.biblecounsel.homestead.com). The whole issue of methodology is conformity to Scripture, not our ideas (Isa. 55: 8-9). Look up always!

Bob, how would you define “consider,” as in
Let us consider how we may provoke one another unto love and good deeds; let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing. But let us encourage one another all the more as we see the day approaching.
