Scott Walker for president

Forum category

First he cut Wisconsin taxes. He took office with Wisconsin in the red 3.6 billion. Since then he has balanced the budget, created 1 billion in surplus, and cut 2 billion in taxes.

Now, he refuses to be intimidated by the left for his religious beliefs. He posted Phil 4:13 on his official facebook and twitter sites, inciting an electronic riot. Accused of unconstitutionally promoting his religious beliefs, he has adamantly refused to back down. He explains he uses his official electronic feeds, in part, to inform people about who he is. Seems to me that’s the actual purpose of social networking.

Anyway, I really hope he runs next year.

As a Wisconsinite, I have mixed feelings about Scott Walker for president. While I would love to see a man with his courage of conviction in the White House, I would hate to lose him from this state. Not sure we could find another of sufficient quality to replace him.
I have an ongoing debate with a friend about Walker’s fitness for the Presidency. He contends that without a college diploma, Scott Walker could never get past the mainstream media, which would present him as an ignorant and uneducated college drop-out. IMO, if Walker can get the message out, his lack of a college degree might appeal to the blue-collar demographic, who could see it as a working-man-makes-good kind of story.
I do love the fact that he has refused to back down to the Freedom From Religion Foundation on his use of Scripture on FB and Twitter.
