yes, it is true. it is possible that there are many addresses with the numbers ‘666’. however, it seems to me that the media is trying to desensitize the viewers. if one constantly sees the numbers ‘666’ being used in TV shows and movies, then it becomes less shocking and controversial. eventually it gets to the point where, if a company were to release a product with those numbers, it is seen as more of a coincidence, than a sinister plan by evil people.

conversely, if people are constantly presented with the idea of using cards and chips for identifying oneself, or for purchasing things, then the idea of receiving a chip or mark on the body does not seem as shocking or frightening as it normally would be. it becomes merely the next logical progression in the use of technology for making life easier.

Back in the early 1970’s International Harvester (Farmall) updated their tractor line and updated their numbering system. Before that they had the ‘56 series tractors. For example you could get a IH 656 which was about 60 hp or a 1456 with about 130 hp. When the updated line came out they were then the ‘66 series tractors and the the 1456 was updated to the 1466 and given 15 more hp and the 656 was updated to the 666 with a hp rating of 69. I never wanted to own a 666, but I do not necessarily think there was anything sinister going on at IH. I personally think they were just ignorant about it at that time. For those who tend to be a bit more superstitious this may be another reason to get a John Deere instead, but if you need a tractor and get a deal on a 666 IH, I see no problem with it, but I’d probably paint over the numbers because of weaker brethren.

Doesn’t the mark of the beast get issued after the rapture and halfway through the tribulation or is my understanding of Larkin’s Chart and Scofield’s Bible faulty?

Regardless of when the rapture will be, like all other technology, it will be necessary for those serving the Antichrist government to prepare and test the device(mark) and the infrastructure that will support it. It is not going to appear out of thin air. Everything is leading towards a world, in which all human information is centralized(cloud storage), and all human transactions are completed with a digital currency(online banking).

So for all who might look at such things as evidence that the Tribulation must not be too far off, this should be very exciting news! Doesn’t it mean Jesus’ return is even nearer??
