Let’s take a break from pointing out the doctrinal weaknesses of that eminent theologian Mark Lowry, and have some real fun!

What traditional Christmas songs do we sing that have questionable lyrics, either doctrinal or historical?

Extra points if we have a bit of fear of removing them from our Christmas singing.

Obvious errors include references to winter, snow, and a specific number of kings. Perhaps we should also avoid debate on the translation questions surrounding “no room in the inn” that have Mary and Joseph refused service at the Hilton and having to stay at the Feed ‘n Seed.
