Favorite Commentary on Proverbs

I shortly plan to begin a brief series on Proverbs 18. I have Bridges, Keil and Delitzsch (since I have the set) and others, like JFB and John Gill. I am looking for something more modern that clearly exposits the text. I have the NICOT on several books, and I like the ones I have, but I know not all volumes in a set are equal. Any recommendations?
I think you will find Derek Kidner’s work very penetrating. The subject-studies are particularly enlightening. It’s short and cheap, too. It is brief, though, so I don’t know how much info it would have specifically on that chapter.

Thanks, Charlie. I like Kidner on Psalms.

Waltke’s 2 volumes on Proverbs in NICOT are recommended. You can find some sermons on Proverbs by Waltke here: http://believerschapeldallas.org/OnlineMessages/MessagesbyDrBruceWaltke…
A non-technical commentary by William MacDonald, is Enjoying the Proverbs. When I taught a course on Proverbs, I would do a fair amount of technical work and then looked at his brief comments. I could tell that he had done his homework, but just gave his conclusions in a very accessible format.
I did a brief topical survey of Proverbs on Wednesday evenings. The pdf outline of my notes is available here: http://terrellbible.org/home/358/358/files/ProverbsHandout.pdf
Enjoy the study,
