Correspondence school

Hello, I’m up in Edmonton Canada, looking for a good Bible Theology correspondence course. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Hi Todd,

George Coon of Calvary Baptist Seminary leads the Canadian arm of Calvary. Lansdale offers 1) physical classes in Canada and 2) video and online classes. Dr. Coon and several of the professors travel to Canada each year to hold classes. The education Calvary offers is regionally accredited, baptistic, and practical.

Their web is: www.cbs.edu

George can be reached at 215.368.7538. He’d be happy to answer any questions. If you determine that Calvary is not what you are looking for, George will still be a tremendous help in finding another school. Give him a call.

I work full time on 4 on 4 off rotation so I should mention Im looking for a very self direct studies type of course.

Not necessarily looking for a accredited program either.

Also I would like to learn Hebrew and Greek, but that is still optional.

Can’t hurt to give George a call or email him. He’ll be able to point you a good direction.

I feel kind of funny mentioning this because it is possible that you already know this, but our friends, Bud and Debbie Talbert are up in Edmonton starting a Bible school/college. I’m sure that Bud would help you/give you advice. Write them at debtal atsign shaw.ca if you want more information about Foundation Baptist College.

There are getting to be more and more “on line” resources. http://www.bju.edu/bjuonline/courses/independent-learning/undergrad-bib…

also http://www.bju.edu/bjuonline/courses/independent-learning/grad-bible.php. BJU has courses you can take as a class as well. THese two are individual learning and not technically correspondence courses.

I’ve heard that Northland and Maranatha have things on line as well. I think grads from there can post if they feel so inclined. ;)

I’m sure much depends on what slant you want, how conservative the presentation, etc.

I don’t know what I was thinking, but I need a moderator to edit my post and take out the full email address of the Talberts. Can you change it to debtal atsign shaw.ca ?

Thanks. I didn’t think about it til too late for me to edit!
