I am not seeking any discussion about what the correct answer to this question is or may be.
You can read any music history book and here is what you will read about ancient Israeli music: nada.
While Pythagoras was discovering the ratios between musical intervals, while musicians during the time of Plato were developing modal music, Israel came up with absolutely nothing musical that stood the test of time.
Rajesh is going to say the Psalms is the contribution. He will be wrong. Poetry is not music and even if the Psalms were sung, the musical tunes were apparently quite forgettable since none of them survived.
Anyone who is interested in researching this subject further may find some helpful information in the following article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_music_in_the_biblical_period?f…
Of course, especially since this is a Wikipedia article, care must be taken to scrutinize the validity of the information provided.
