How common is gambling among conservative evangelicals? With the lottery and the rise of gambling on sports, it seems more and more Americans are getting involved in this vice. With the increase of casinos and recreational trips to Las Vegas, I suspect many Christians participate in gambling regularly. But what about conservative evangelicals in general?

I have found out about a few closet gamblers when people share memories at funerals! What are your thoughts? What have you read? Experienced?

Gaming and Godliness, Part 1

Introduction

Many may ask church leaders for counsel about video games: “Should I, or those under my care, play them? If not, why not? “[F]riends are fallible. The wisest among them is still prone to misjudgment, and the most knowledgeable among them is still prone to ignorance…. The Blessings of Hardship

“And you shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. "In the face of the extraordinary challenges presented to parents and Christians by digital technology, it seems to me that we need two things above all.
