When I first read Deuteronomy in the context of graduate studies, after entering Seminary, I was astounded by the depth and richness of the material. I was amazed I hadn’t appreciated the book before. All of the OT is important, of course, but Deuteronomy holds a special place in my heart and mind.

I will always remember how astonished I was when I first read it in the context of Seminary studies. I also listened to it in audiobook one night, in one sitting. Every time I read it now, I have Max McLean’s voice in my head!

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.
