“The soul of the plowboy ain’t worth as much as the soul of the delivery boy.”
At Front Porch Republic, Darryl Hart asks “If Cooking Slowly and Growing Organically are In, Why Is Rural Ministry Out?”
I was a little offended by the raw ignorance of this article from someone who knows better. Short and obvious answer to the question - “If Cooking Slowly and Growing Organically are In, Why Is Rural Ministry Out?” - because people care a lot about the earth and about their physical health, but churches tend to care a lot about people and their spiritual health. Cities are by definition places where a lot of people live. - I can go on, but this is probably the dumbest argument I’ve read in a while…. in my humble opinion :-)
