Does Calvinism Teach Puppet Theology?
I don’t want to enter into a debate on Calvinism. I agree with the that it is a false characterization that Calvinism teaches fatalism or “puppet theology.” The problem is that the term “Calvinism” is just so pejorative to some people, and so many false characterizations exist, that the label hinders much more than it helps.

Came to post the exact same thing. Similar to the terms evangelical or fundamentalist the range of meaning is so great that debating either way from the “label” is probably not effective. Most of the descriptions that I hear of Calvinism by those who disagree with it sound more like a description of hyper-Calvinism.
As a former adherent to and teacher of Calvinism and much of Reformed theology, I can attest to its exegetical failures and theological deficiencies without the use of the word “puppet”.
