Plus for retirees that depend upon investment income (either interest on bonds or savings OR dividend income), their income dropped. Additionally a retiree that withdraws 4% per year from investments, the asset value has dropped and has yet to recover. So an asset decline of 30% is like a 30% income drop

I can’t find the chart I really wanted to post (I have it printed out in my office) that shows the steep decline of employment. The worst in my lifetime (I’m 60).
