New Lutheran Group: the North American Lutheran Church (NALC)

Lutherans Roll Out Plan for New Denomination Dissident Lutherans overseeing a split from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) outlined their plan for launching a new denomination. The North American Lutheran Church (NALC) will be based on four “key attributes” that were listed as “Christ-centered, mission-driven, traditionally grounded and congregationally focused.”

Discussion

Funny how it is the faithful party (according to the Christian faith) which gets labelled as the “dissenters” and not the party which has basically apostatized, necessitating the departure of the former from the latter. Similarly, those Canadian Anglican congregations who could no longer remain in communion with powers that be in the Anglican Church in Canada because of the latter’s apostacy, and are now under the wing of a conservative evangelical South American bishop, have consistenly been portrayed in the press as crazy radicals bent on destroying the Church!
