12/12: Tartan Day at BJU?
We need a FB page for “Wear blue on 12/12 to show that you reject all Face Book ‘wear color’ campaigns.”
Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
It really is sad to see all of this going on at my alma mater. It seems that this issue has eclispsed an entire semester of the students educational experience. All of this has happened in the nearly 2 semester- long absence of the President who is still on medical leave.
I am praying for the school. They are facing haters who they need to just completely ignore and pray for - pray for those who despitefully use you (by their blogs, FB pages, and by other means). They are facing hurting people who have been abused in a fundamentalist environment that has not been real helpful to them who they need to love and with whom they need to seek help in every way possible. They need wisdom to discern the difference between those filled with hate and those who are hurting.
I am praying for God to raise up some peacemakers (Matthew 5:9) who can help in this situation.
