Calvary Chapel Association Announces Complete Separation from Brian and Cheryl Brodersen, CC Costa Mesa, and the CC “Global Network”

In a recent letter sent to all Calvary Chapel pastors, I announced that Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa is launching the Calvary Chapel Global Network (hereinafter known as “CCGN”). Since then, I have received a number of inquiries about CCGN.

Sounds like another case of one man thinking he is God’s prophet or apostle. Calvary Chapel, IMO, represents the best version of the Charismatic Movement, restrained by an attempt to follow Scripture. Sad for this division.

NewSadly predictable

I would agree that Calvary Chapel is probably the sanest version of Charismatic theology out there, but that doesn’t change the fact that Chuck Smith predicted the end of the world in 1981 and didn’t step back from the pastorate or suffer any penalty when that obviously didn’t happen. So the honoring of dominant personalities to the detriment of the Gospel has a long history with them.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
