He spoke about how you can't possibly do everything you did while you were young, so you must shed some things and focus on one or two things you can do very well with the limited energy you still have. That way, he says, you can still contribute meaningfully in a very targeted way and avoid bitterness at your own physical (and sometimes mental) decline.
