It strikes me that the integration of pagan philosophy into Christian churches by the Alexandria school and the consequences thereof, including Arianism, deserve a spot or two here. I would also include a couple of turning points including the great schism, the start of monasticism, Jan Hus, and Wycliffe.

In other words, a good list, but it’s heavily weighted towards the modern, which gives a misleading idea that we had 1500 years of relative stasis followed by half a millenium of progress (or congress, given that a lot of the things talked about are bad).

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
