Two things amaze me about Camping and Family Radio
1. I am amazed by the number of people who blindly follow Camping.
2. I am amazed by the fundamentalists who reject Camping’s teaching but listen to Family Radio because of the “godly music.”

BTW: Not an endorsement of his teaching!

Thus Holy God is showing us by the words of 2 Peter 3:8 that He wants us to know that exactly 7,000 years after He destroyed the world with water in Noah’s day, He plans to destroy the entire world forever. Because the year 2011 A.D. is exactly 7,000 years after 4990 B.C. when the flood began, the Bible has given us absolute proof that the year 2011 is the end of the world during the Day of Judgment, which will come on the last day of the Day of Judgment.

Amazingly, May 21, 2011 is the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical calendar of our day. Remember, the flood waters also began on the 17th day of the 2nd month, in the year 4990 B.C.

So what happens on the 22nd of May, 2011? I wonder if this date is centered on the US, Israel or China….

Is there some “nutcase” in the US who has been predicting Sept. dates for the return of Christ—or at least did several years in a row? Since Christ didn’t return, I’m not sure if the guy changed his teachings or what….

My husband wondered where he got the year 4990 BC. He thinks the flood was closer to 3000 BC which gives all of mankind another 2000 years, using Camping’s reasoning! :)

Who decides who is the authority here?

This is not the first time Camping has made a bold prediction about Judgment Day.

On Sept. 6, 1994, dozens of Camping’s believers gathered inside Alameda’s Veterans Memorial Building to await the return of Christ, an event Camping had promised for two years. Followers dressed children in their Sunday best and held Bibles open-faced toward heaven.

But the world did not end. Camping allowed that he may have made a mathematical error. He spent the next decade running new calculations, as well as overseeing a media company that has grown significantly in size and reach.
My first failed Hawaii plan was back in ‘94 .. still paying that CC off! :)
