Double signing required for checks (unless an online bill pay service is used)

Privacy of giving records (or can just about anyone see who gives what?)
My observation is that often church leaders chide members for being poor stewards but often our own churches are (speaking at a corporate level) poor stewards of funds received
If someone wanted to give to your church 500 shares of stock through a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donor_advised_fund] Donor Advised Fund , are you able to find a copy of your church’s 501(c)(3) documentation so that your church can receive that gift?
Most foundations that offer donor advised funds will only make grants from these funds to other public charities, and will usually perform due diligence to verify the grantee’s tax-exempt status.
Does your treasurer provide detailed accounting of the income and expenses of the same *, or is it all just blended into the financials so that no one really knows the true cost of the same?
* I’m not suggesting that these ministries need to make a profit!
When organizations ask the church for money (mission agencies, schools, etc.), do church leaders request annual financial statements of the same?
When you ask for money, are you willing to provide complete accounting as to the financials (how much received? How spent? etc)
When money is requested (say for a thanksgiving offering) for a specific project
Are those funds actually used for that project?
Is there reporting back to the congregation?
