Died: Robertson McQuilkin

When I think of McQuilkin, two books come to mind that were influential in my life…
Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
Understanding and Applying the Bible, a book on hermeneutics:

I attended Columbia Bible College when McQuilkin was still the president there, and I was in chapel the day he resigned to care for his wife. It was quite a moment, and he became one of my heroes that day. His Understanding and Applying the Bible was my hermeneutics textbook, and his Introduction to Biblical Ethics (prepublication version) was my ethics textbook while a student there. He was a formative influence in my life.
