SCOTUS rules for Muslim denied job over headscarf

…..but I’m at a loss to explain why any believer in any religion with a moral code would want to work there, given the near-pornographic murals they put on their walls. It’s the retail equivalent of taking a job playing piano in a brothel, in my (probably not humble enough) opinion.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.

Bert, all kinds of people take jobs contrary to what one might assume their moral code is. The nice thing about religious freedom is that we don’t have to view into the conscience of those seeking it’s protection in order to grant the freedom.

I think this ruling bodes well for the gay marriage decision later in the term. It means there is a strong current of religious freedom protectionism in the SCOTUS.

Interesting note: The Muslim woman’s attorney is Sharon Gustafson, BJU-alumna and daughter-in-law of Dr. Dwight Gustafson. Good for her.
