….Aaron, it could be that the church didn’t believe the allegations, but after having watched ladies like Rachael Denhollander give a tutorial on “how to present allegations and make them stick”, I would generally speaking hesitate to be on the opposite side of an issue from her and those with whom she associates.
There is also the reality that if you’re looking at a lot of these cases, there are a lot of warning signs out there that fundamental churches ought to heed—things that we consider dubious or even sinful that are nonethless still legal.
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
