Mr Eich has now resigned.   Does this mean that Christians can no longer have a career?

Andrew Sullivan is a liberal and homosexual blogger; his work is known worldwide and is fairly influential.  He weighed in on this issue today with his take:

Will he now be forced to walk through the streets in shame? Why not the stocks? The whole episode disgusts me – as it should disgust anyone interested in a tolerant and diverse society. If this is the gay rights movement today – hounding our opponents with a fanaticism more like the religious right than anyone else – then count me out. If we are about intimidating the free speech of others, we are no better than the anti-gay bullies who came before us.

It's not very often - might be the first time ever, actually - that I agree with Mr. Sullivan, but it is good to do so and refreshing that someone on 'their side' is calling it the bigotry and intolerance that it is.  Good for Andrew!

"Our task today is to tell people — who no longer know what sin longer see themselves as sinners, and no longer have room for these categories — that Christ died for sins of which they do not think they’re guilty." - David Wells
